Obama? No thanks! – part three

You can see part one here

Part two here

In the end, no matter which party’s candidate I wind up voting for, it will come down to the lesser of two evils (as my friend Mike pointed out – thanks Mike!)

This last post includes nothing more than this statement…

LACK OF SENATORIAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS (not experience, there is a difference)!

Check out the video below if you want to know exactly what I’m talking about.  Pretty Embarrassing!  Barack Obama?  No thanks!

  1. McCain has betrayed his own ideals. The man supports torture now for crying out loud.

  2. Hi Mystic55, thanks for the comment…

I’m still looking over Mr. McCain’s record. Unlike Barack, he has plenty record to look at. There’s quite a bit I’m not too keen on, to say it carefully…

  3. Hey there! Thanks for commenting on my blog. I thought I’d return the favor! I like getting comments even if people disagree with me.

Anyways I can’t say I agree with your (and the medias) assertion that Senator Obama lacks experience. Check out the link on my blog post on the subject to see a list of all the bills he sponsored or co-sponsored in his 8 years in the Illinois State Senate. I’m sure you could find links to see all of his accomplishments in the US Senate as well, although he hasn’t been there as long. Still he has held elected office for 12 years. Thats quite a lot more credit than most are giving him, at least in the experience category.

You seem like a Republican though so I doubt I’ll be changing any minds. Just wanted to put that out there.

  4. Hi Andrew, thanks for the reply. I’m not a Republican, though I do clearly adhere to “some” (but not all) typically Republican ideals. Few candidates ever fully represent my views, so I wind up having to pick the one who is closest. Honestly, this election is going to prove very difficult in that regard for me.

One thing I don’t like about this particular buffet of candidates is that I don’t think a Senator/Congressman is typically the best choice for President (though there have been notable exceptions). They are involved in a VERY different part of the political process than a Chief Executive. In my view a State Governor is much more familiar with the type of things that the President will have to deal with, and is therefore much more “experienced” in the role
that is to be filled as President. The only Governor still in the race (Huckabee) is so far behind in delegates it would take a miracle for him to be the parties nominee. We’ll see what happens…

    Thanks again for the reply…
